Mertz Gilmore Foundation
Meeting House

The Mertz Gilmore Foundation Meeting House is located at 218 East 18th Street in the Gramercy Park area of New York City. The building is a four-story, walk-up brownstone. It houses the Foundation’s offices, and two meeting spaces which are available for use, free of charge, by 501(c)3 nonprofit organizations.

The meeting spaces, subject to availability, are available for meetings and gatherings of nonprofit groups, including grantee partners and other groups aligned with the Foundation’s ethos. They are intended to help nonprofits plan and achieve their organizational goals and are not available for fundraising, political events or religious ceremonies.

There are two conference rooms available. The large conference room is located on the third floor. It can accommodate groups of up to 15 people. Unfortunately, there is no elevator in the building and access to the large conference room requires navigating three flights of stairs. On the garden level, there is a smaller wheelchair-accessible conference room that can accommodate up to 8 people, with an adjacent garden patio. The garden patio is available to groups reserving the small conference room; if there is no meeting scheduled in the small conference room, the patio can be reserved concurrently with the large conference room.

The meeting spaces are available Monday through Friday, 9:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Reservations are required. To reserve a meeting space, please submit a request by email to Meeting Space[at]mertzgilmore.org. Review of requests can take up to 5 business days.
